Running the houseful shows of Mamma Mia


Catch the classic sunny funny London musical, Mamma Mia! at the magnificent Novello Theatre! The popular London Westend show is the mother of all jukebox musicals and one of the longest running London shows. The show has been enjoyed by millions of fans across the globe and still running with packed houses.

Mamma Mia is a brilliant heart touching show that is set against the backdrop of a remote Greek Island full of weddings, mistaken identity and of course - fun. The ultimate feelgood musical features chartbusting musical numbers such as 'Dancing Queen', 'Money Money Money' and 'Waterloo', sing along and say 'Thank you For the Music...'

The show is the story of a young bride to be Sophie and her single mother Donna. However, the girl wants to know the true identity of her biological father before walking down the aisle. Hence, she invites three men from her mother’s past on her wedding eve without informing Donna. The hilarious script features smash-hit ABBA musical, which is a complete treat for theatregoers of all ages!

Mamma Mia is a must watch for ABBA fan, or a musical-lover and has foot tapping musical numbers. If you have seen the blockbuster movie then enjoy seeing the show live on stage is a complete treat! The show is immensely popular amongst hen parties and celebrations. The show is truly stated as the biggest party in the West End with age for the show is recommended 5+. Under 4's will not be admitted into the venue.

The Novello Theatre is running the houseful shows of Mamma Mia. It is situated along the Aldwych, and the venue is home to a multitude of high quality London hotels such as Aldwych One, as well as lots of impressive restaurants and bars. You can check out the Try Cellar Door, a cabaret bar directly adjacent to the theatre. Other highlights are The National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery and Covent Garden.

Novello Theatre can be commuted viatubes, buses, taxis and cars. The nearest station to the theatre is Covent Garden on the Piccadilly line, whereas Charing Cross mainline train station is also within walking distance, and can be accessed on the Northern or Bakerloo lines. You can board bus numbers 1, 4, 11, 13, 15, 68 and 98 all stop near the theatre. You may hire a taxi or a car as the  nearest NCP car park is at Drury Lane/Parker Street.
